Determined to trace her mother’s footsteps, Adléta sets out to see what she saw, to hear what she heard, and to feel what she felt. And that’s quite easy, given her mother wrote such detailed letters describing every place she and Pappa had visited.

But as Adléta dives into the letters, shadows crawl into the peripheral of her wide-eyed wonder: sometimes the future isn’t so different from the past, and sometimes we read the answers we expect to find instead of the answers that are real.
